Meet the heartwarming team behind the Special Needs Senior Dog Sanctuary — Todd Giorgi, his wife Anna, and their two young children, Jagger and Lennon. Nestled in Stamford, Connecticut, this family-run haven is dedicated to giving senior dogs with special needs a loving, final home.
The sanctuary's journey began with Chester, a pit bull with cancer and arthritis who had spent most of his life in a shelter. When Todd and Anna welcomed him into their home, they didn't just give him a roof over his head; they gave him a family. Chester's story inspired them to create a sanctuary where other special needs senior dogs could experience the same love and care.
Today, the sanctuary has 11 senior dogs, each with unique needs. These furry residents receive top-notch medical care, specialized diets, and, most importantly, plenty of love. The sanctuary's mission is simple yet profound: to provide a safe and loving environment for senior dogs to enjoy their golden years.
What makes this sanctuary truly special is the community's support. Donations help cover the costs of food, medical care, and other essentials. The team also runs fundraising activities, including an Amazon wishlist for much-needed supplies. They dream of expanding the sanctuary, allowing them to rescue even more needy dogs.
